Project Background: Rice bran is the important by-product in rice processing; rice bran contains protein, sugar, fat, cellulose, mineral substance, vitamin and other nutritional components, among which fat occupies a large content, accounting for about 18-25%. Therefore, it has been developed as one of the important oil resources in recent years. Meanwhile, the particularity of rice bran for reducing LDL relates to not only its composition of fatty acid, but also the oryzanol which has the functions of reducing platelet aggregation, cholesterol synthesis in the liver and cholesterol absorption. Thus, it can be considered that the nutritional value of rice bran oil is mainly embodied on being rich in oryzanol. In recent years, it has become one more edible oil for health care after sunflower seed oil and corn germ oil. As oil for cooking, it has entered European and American markets. Project Technology: The project adopts enzyme catalysis immersing method, adopting expanded operation before rice bran leaching, producing structural change after screw propelling, mixture, pressing, gluing and puffing, making the moisture in the organizational structure of the materials be evaporated rapidly, generating a number of tiny holes, for the sake of leaching, meanwhile, integrating rice bran fresh keeping and puffing treatment, so as to product rice bran oil. Construction Content: The project is planned to be built in Binjiang Industrial Concentration Area of Nanxin of Nanchang County, with annual production of rice bran oil of 2 thousand tons, building oil processing production line, plants, plant area and relevant supporting for annual processing of rice bran of 100 thousand tons. Construction Conditions: (1) Raw Materials Advantage: As a large grain county in the country, Nanchang County possesses the grain output of 2 billion jin, and that of Jiangxi Province reaches 41 billion jin, with abundant raw materials. (2) Location Advantage: Nanchang County has convenient transportation, rapid communication, sufficient resources, favorable public facilities status, abundant human resources and low labor costs; as Nanxin adjacent to main channel of Ganjiang River, possess a frontage as long as almost 10km, having advantageous shipping conditions. (3) Industrial Strength: Nanchang County, taking the development concept of “regional layout, intensive connection and scale operation”, facilitates the standard and scale development of further processing of grain, strengthening the comprehensive utilization ability of grain further processing by-products. Wilmar, leader of world grain kings, with production line of designed annual production capacity of 1 million tons of rice, settled in Nanxin in 2010, greatly improving the grain growing scale and quality.
